Branding - Mari McCallion

I met Geraldine Doherty at a Networking Event and found her professionalism and straightforward approach to accountancy refreshing. I was on the look out for an accountant, and she was the woman for me! In turn, I became the designer for her, as she was in need of an overdue brand refresh and expansion.
The lack of branding was dampening down her confidence to put herself out online as she felt she wasn’t being represented in the right way.
Geraldine is a working mum, and spent a large part of her career working for large accountancy firms. She recognised the need for a more personal accountant, someone who was willing to take time with smaller businesses to help them succeed. Her clientele range from solo-entrepreneurs like myself, to rural farmers, shops and female lead businesses.
I took her existing logo and gave it a make over, and created a simple brand system around it for her to follow.
We upgraded her fonts to be more youthful and professional, developed a suite of icons, and gave her a empowering colour palette with deep navy tones, bright blues and friendly pop of yellow.
I also supplied her with a series of Canva Templates that she could use to up her social media game.
Brand refreshes and expansions are a great way to bring your branding in to line with current design trends and are usually a quicker, and more budget friendly approach to branding.
