North West Community Development

North West Community Development are a passionate, grass roots, community focused organisation with big ambitions! Their goal is to plan, develop accessible experiences and infrastructure across the Inishowen Peninsula in Donegal.

Their can do attitude, passion and efficient approach not only immerses communities in to the essence of the area, but also increases economic return for rural communities, providing enterprise, employment and prosperity to the area.

I was approached by the team to give them a complete make over. Their original logo said nothing about them, nor did it work for a living brand or show them in a professional light.

We worked together to create a warm, connected and authentic focused brand that puts them on par with other community based organisations in the county and country. It’s also a simple system that they can adopt and follow themselves as they progress as an enterprise.

I created a bespoke text logo, that gives the brand flexibility across digital  and print platforms. The palette is warm, friendly, strong and practical. These purple and yellow tones also show up a lot in the landscapes of Donegal.

Ubuntu was chosen as the brand font as it complimented the primary logo and is also a widely accessible font for the user.
