Velvet Interiors

I met Shauna in her bijou studio, on a hot summers day, in the centre of Limavady, Co. Derry. Taking shade, surrounded by stacks of fabric samples, plush furnishings and unique interior pieces, I knew I’d met a kindred design spirit.

Founded, and led by Shauna Stewart since 2018, Velvet Interiors is a successful design and project management company based in Northern Ireland. With diverse experience in both residential and commercial design, Velvet Interiors works on projects of all scales, from decorating a single room to a full house renovation, within a range of scope and budgets.

Like a lot of maturing businesses, Shauna knew that her current branding was very limited, and just didn’t reflect her business or customers the way it used to. They were maturing and growing more sophisticated, so a refresh was needed. A move to a beautifully converted cottage, with a modern extension in a rural location, meant big changes were ahead. She wanted a brand that would stand by her for years to come.

Following an in-depth brand session, where we focused on her solution to her target customers problems, we worked closely over several months, to develop a fully responsive brand that will take her into the future.

Her name has remained the same, but her logo now reflects the personality of her ideal customers and herself. It’s approachable, fresh and joyful. The timeless, modern fonts are clear, refined and aspirational.

Her brand colours now reflect her interior and personal style - natural sophistication.

We also looked at short, medium and long term collateral, with options that will elevate her brand and retail area when she's ready.

The website was tackled two years after the brand was developed. This gave Shauna and her team time to work on growing a strong portfolio of images and to get bedded in to their brand. The end result is a sophisticated brochure style website that showcases Velvet's impeccable design and product.
